What Does this widal Test Result Mean?
Sir, I am feeling fever and high abdominal colic s i have done my widal test i am feeling weakness throug out day my reports are mentioned below. doctors prescribed me medicine cefexime 200 mg bd dos and paracetamol when required , antacid and levocitrizine but still i there is pain in stomach and dullness and lethargic. what precaution i should take . Your findings suggests positive widal test and it may indicate typhoid fever.
However,single widal test is of little clinical importance.Four fold increase in serial titration of antibodies is confirmatory for typhoid fever.
You are getting right medicines for typhoid fever and you should continue it.
You may also need ultrasound of abdomen to see any concomitant illness.
Dullness,lethargy,pain abdomen are also features of typhoid fever.
